Top 3 Reasons Why Homeowners Should Encapsulate The Crawl Space

As a crawl space repair professional, you know the reasons why it is so important to take care of this area below the home. However, a lot of homeowners tend to ignore this space and they think that what happens here doesn't really matter since they never see it and there's no way it could have any effect on the rest of their home, right? Wrong. As a matter of fact, what happens in a crawl space can GREATLY influence the rest of the home. It is a proven fact that nearly 50% of the air that you breathe in your home first originated in the crawl space. So, if this area is in poor shape, what could that mean for you and your family's health?

It is important that you stress to homeowners the top 3 reasons why they need to have you encapsulate and repair their crawl space. Take a look below to learn more.

1. It prevent moisture and excessive humidity from getting inside and causing problems. Moisture and humidity here are NOT good things, and they can actually contribute to the growth of harmful mold, mildew, and bacteria. Seal the space off, and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

2. A sealed crawl space prevents unwanted pests from getting inside the area under the home. Most homeowners don't think about all the critters that could be living under their home, including: termites, roaches, snakes, spiders, rats, mice, skunks, and so on. Nobody wants these pests living out their entire life cycle below their home! This is dangerous and could lead to some really bad indoor air quality.

3. An encapsulated crawl space will improve the property's value. This is good news if the homeowner is considering putting their home on the market in the next couple of years. Prospective home buyers will want to see that the crawl space is already in good shape so that they won't have to worry about it.

At Nash Distribution, we provide a wide variety of effective crawl space products, including: vapor barriers, encapsulation accessories, stabilization systems, French drains, doors, vents, vent covers, dehumidifiers, and more. Why Should You Use Our Basement Waterproofing Products to Fix Leaks, Mold, and Humidity Issues?

As a contractor, you know how important it is to ensure that your customers' homes have safe, dry, and healthy basements when you leave them. To make sure that this happens every time, you need to use basement waterproofing products that are made from high-quality, durable, effective materials. Our basement repair and mold removal products have proven themselves time and time again to be effective at taking care of all types of problems, including the following:

  • Basement flooding
  • High humidity levels
  • Mold growth
  • Puddles of water on the floor
  • Leaking basement windows
  • Seepage coming in through the cove joint
  • Clogged floor drains

At Nash Distribution, we sell a wide variety of basement products, and we want you to rest assured knowing that when you buy from us, you are getting quality products that will be shipped out quickly and delivered to you on time for your projects.

We can provide you with the following:

The NoWater System

This waterproofing system is a permanent solution to most wet basement problems. It is a collection system that works in a similar fashion to a rain gutter. It collects water and then moves it through the system into a sump pump. When water in the basin of the sump reaches a certain level, it will be sent out and away from the home. This is a sealed waterproofing system that prevents leaks and also protects the home against dangerous Radon gas seepage.

Dual Pump Sump Pump Basin

This basin has an air-tight lid that will help to keep out debris and dirt inside of your basement environment. It can fit a primary pump, back up pump, and a secondary 1/2 HP sump to prevent basement flooding in case the main pump malfunctions, or if the power happens to go out.

Sump Pumps

We have many different sump pumps for you to choose from for your projects, in many different sizes and capacities. A sump pump is an essential part to any complete waterproofing system as its main role is to pump water out and away from the home to a safe distance away where it won't easily be able to get back into the basement again.

Freeze Relief® Frozen Discharge Line Protection

We are the manufacturer and distributor of this high-quality discharge-line protection system. It prevents the discharge line from freezing up during the colder months of the year. This means that water inside of the line won't get frozen and prevent additional water from being pumped out of the home.

Dranjer™ Sealed Drains

This is a new brand of drain seals that stops air, water, Radon gas, and odors from getting into the basement.
